Gas Leak

If you smell gas or suspect a leak:

    •    Do not use electrical switches, appliances, or naked flames

    •    Open windows and doors to ventilate the property

    •    Turn off the gas supply at the meter (if safe to do so)

 

Call the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111 999

Fire

If there is a fire:

    •    Evacuate the property immediately

    •    Do not attempt to tackle the fire unless it is safe to do so

 

Call 999 and ask for the Fire Service

Leaks and Floods

Turn off the main water supply at the stopcock immediately. If water is near electrical fittings or appliances, switch off the electricity at the fuse board (if safe to do so). Report the issue to our Maintenance Team on 020 8444 0055.

Electrical Failure or Fault

Switch off the electricity at the fuse board (if safe to do so) and avoid using affected sockets or appliances. Report the issue to our Maintenance Team on 020 8444 0055.

Loss of Power

Check if the issue is isolated to your property:

• Look outside — are neighbouring properties affected?

• Check other rooms or sockets

 

Check your fuse board:

• Reset any tripped switches (OFF, then ON)

• If it trips again, leave it off

 

Unplug appliances:

• Disconnect high-usage items

• Reset power and reconnect one at a time

 

If the outage affects your area:

• Contact your electricity network provider
